Souffled Macaroni And Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup scalded milk
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked macaroni
  • 3 large eggs separated
  • 1/4 cup diced pimento
  • 1 Tbs chopped parsley
  • 1 Tbs grated onion
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbs melted butter

Directions
  1. Pour milk over bread crumbs
  2. add cheese
  3. Cover and let stay till cheese melts
  4. Add macaroni
  5. Combine and add beaten egg yolks, pimento parsley, onion, salt and melted butter
  6. Beat whites until stiff but not dry and fold into mixture.
  7. Pour into buttered casserole dish( 1 1/2 qts )
  8. Bake 350 until puffed and golden about 35 minutees
