Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cut the tomatoes in to medium size pcs and
  • Chop the cabbage finely
  • If You use carrot, pea capsicum, you can slightly blanch them before frying.
  • Cut the bread pieces in to 1” pc or just tear them and soak them slightly with luke warm water to make them slightly moist.( don’t add much water)
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin and mustard seeds clove and cardamom.
  • When it splutters, add dry chilli, bay leaf, curry leaves.( you can add asafotedia in this step.
  • Add sugar and stir it to mix.
  • Add the onion flakes, tomatoes and sauté for 1 min.
  • Add all the veggies of your choice. Add turmeric powder and salt as per taste. Add the boiled chick pea dal.
  • When they are cooked add the soaked bread pcs.
  • Add the soaked raisin.
  • Stir it up for some time.
  • Add the coriander leaves
  • Dash it up with some pure ghee or butter.
  • Garnish it with fried cashew
  • Bread upma is ready
  • Best of this recipe is that you can have your own choice. Can skip any of the ingredients.
