A pie that was made when Pecans were to expensive to use.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Dark Karo Syrup
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Quick -Cooking Oatmeal
  • 1/2 Cup Butter,melted
  • 2 Eggs

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients together,beat about 4 minutes.
  2. Pour into a unbaked 9" pie shell.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until set.
  4. Cool completely before cutting,serve with whipped cream,with a splash of brandy thrown in.
