Soft Whole Wheat Spice Cookies
From shandalulu 15 years agoIngredients
- 1c+1tbsp White sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 c applesauce shopping list
- 2 tbsp milk shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 2-3 tbsp maple syrup shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 c whole wheat flour shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In large bowl, combine first six ingredients (set aside the 1 tbsp of sugar) and blend well so that the baking soda and powder are mixed in and there are no little chunks of them, then add the next 5 ingredients and mix well.
- Stir in whole wheat flour.
- Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- This is optional but I like to use that leftover sugar to sprinkle on top the cookies before you bake them.
- Just so they don't spread out to much during baking, I like to put the cookie sheet with spooned cookie dough in the refrigerator for about five minutes then bake.
- Bake in pre-heated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
