How to make it

  • Place first 8 ingredients in a slow cooker
  • Cook, covered on HIGH 7 hours or until beans are tender
  • Serve with hot cooked rice
  • SUGGESTION FOR SERVING
  • Place beans in bowl with sausage, spoon rice on top and tucked in down in the middle. Sprinkle with green onions

    Hi Jenn, actually I always add more meat too! :)
    We also like it "hotter". It's pretty tasty, with very little preparation. I think I will have it tomorrow. Thanks for your comment.

    Hi Rosey, been missing ya. Pretty much "true" N.O. I would add more meat and "hot" stuff, but the hot stuff is not traditional.

    This is so good. It's marvelous. I love the ingredients and it's so healthy with a lot of protein. This one is getting printed out and should be published. thank you so much for adding this. It's one of the best I have seen. I am a vegetarian so I would leave out the sausage BUT with the creole seasoning who cares...I love it!!! It's wonderful and I am going to try and make it for my hubby tomorrow night.
