CROCK NOLA RED BEANS AND RICE

- 1 pound dried red beans shopping list
- 7 cups water shopping list
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1 medium onion, chopped shopping list
- 3 celery stalks, chopped shopping list
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 pound andouille sausage, sliced OR smoked sausage, such as Hillshire or Bryan, sliced shopping list
- 3 tablespoons creole seasoning shopping list
- Hot cooked rice shopping list
- Garnish: sliced green onions shopping list
How to make it
- Place first 8 ingredients in a slow cooker
- Cook, covered on HIGH 7 hours or until beans are tender
- Serve with hot cooked rice
- SUGGESTION FOR SERVING
- Place beans in bowl with sausage, spoon rice on top and tucked in down in the middle. Sprinkle with green onions
