How to make it

  • Get out a saucepan!!!!!!!!
  • Put the sugar and cream in it ………
  • Cook slowly, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Stop stirring!!!; .....but continue cooking until a soft ball is formed ( when a little bit of the syrup is dropped in cold water about ....238 degrees f. forms a soft ball)
  • Remove from heat now add your butter…..
  • When the whole thing has cooled, then add the vanilla, and beat until creamy…
  • Stir in the raisins at the last…..
  • Pour mixture into a slightly buttered pan 8x8 .cool
  • When it becomes firm you can now cut it into squares and serve
