Cranberry Orange Scones

- 2 Cups flour shopping list
- ½ Cup sugar shopping list
- ¼ tsp salt shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 ½ Cup dried cranberries shopping list
- 1 Stick butter shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- ½ cup milk – minus 3 Tablespoons shopping list

- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon milk shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon orange extract (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Whisk together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl. Add cranberries and mix so they are evenly distributed. Add margarine in small cubes and mix with fingers or pastry blender until evenly blended.
- Whisk together eggs and milk in a small bowl. Gradually stir into the flour mixture until dough forms. Work dough with hands if necessary, but do not overwork.
- Drop scant ½ cup amounts of dough on ungreased baking sheets.
- For egg wash, beat together egg, milk and orange extract in small bowl. Lightly brush each scone with wash.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes or until lightly golden. Makes 8-10 scones.
