St Martins Chestnut Bisque

- 10 oz chestnuts, boiled and peeled shopping list
- 1 yellow onion, peeled and chopped shopping list
- 10 oz potatoes, peeled and chopped shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves shopping list
- 5 cups water shopping list
- 3 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 4 slices of parma ham, grilled or fried until crispy shopping list
How to make it
- In a big pan cook the potatoes, onion and garlic cloves in olive oil
- Add the chestnuts (save some to decorate the soup plate). Cook for about 10 minutes and add the water.
- Let it boil for about 20 minutes until the potatoes and onion are soft and tender.
- Season with salt and pepper and puree the soup.
- Serve the soup and decorate with the chopped chestnuts you saved before and with pieces of crisp parma ham.
