A simple easy colorful cheesecake bars..........just in time for the holidays ................... courtesy of happy holidays

Ingredients
  • 1/3- cup cold butter chopped
  • 1/3- cup packed brown sugar
  • 1- cup flour
  • 8- ounces cream cheese.........softened
  • 1/4- cup white sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 1- tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4- cup chopped glazed red cherries
  • 1/4- cup chopped glazed green cherries

Directions
  1. Combine butter, brown sugar and flour in mixer bowl
  2. beat at low speed until mixed
  3. beat at medium speed for 1 minute or until crumbly
  4. reserve half the mixture....
  5. press remaining mixture into a 8x8 inch baking pan
  6. bake at 350 degrees f. for 10 - 12 minutes or until set
  7. combine cream cheese, sugar egg, and lemon juice in mixer bowl
  8. beat for 1 to 2 minutes or until fluffy.
  9. stir in cherries
  10. spread over baked layer
  11. sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
  12. bake for 18 to 20 minutes longer or until light brown and set
  13. cool
  14. store in refrigerator
  15. serves 15..................
