this was given to me by a friend at texas monthly

Ingredients
  • 1 pack dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 egg beatten
  • 1 teas vanilla
  • 2 tbl melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tea salt
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 3-4 cups p-nut oil
  • confectioners sugar
  • cinnamon sugar

Directions
  1. in a bowl. of a mixer, dissolve yeast in warm water add milk and next 5 ingredients. then beat in flour 1 cup at a time. on med high speed
  2. for 1 minute
  3. dough will be sticky, work 1/4 of the dough at a time. put on a floured board. roll out 1/8 inch thick- cut into 2 inch squares.
  4. preheat oil to 370 degrees. fry squares in oil, when they rise to the top---flip and cook till brown. drain on paper towels
  5. dust with sugar and cinnamon

Love these little babies yum yum i can smell them now i like cinnamon and sugar on them and sometimes just butter and honey yum again i'm drouling here hahahaha
