This is an easy, delicious casserole that can also be served as an appetizer. Either way the dish is served it will quickly dissapear!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz.) chili beans
  • 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons taco sauce
  • 2 to 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2cups coursely broken tortilla chips
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions with tops
  • 1 medium tomato chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or monterey jack cheese

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Cook ground beef in 10 inch skillet, stirring frequently, until brown - drain.
  3. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, taco sauce, chili powder and garlic powder.
  4. Heat to boiling, stirrng occasionally.
  5. Place torilla chips in ungreased 2 quart casserole.
  6. Top with beef mixture.
  7. Spread with sour cream.
  8. Sprinkle with onions, tomato and cheese.
  9. Bake uncoverd 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  10. Arrange additonal tortilla chips around edge of casserole.
  11. Serve with lettuce, chili peppers and taco sauce if desired.
