Ingredients

4 sices bacon

2 tablespoons drippings

1/2 cup chopped onion

2 1-pound cans pork and beans in tomato sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon prepared mustard

Directions

Cook 4 slices bacon till crisp; drain; reserving 2 tablespoons drippings.

Crumble bacon.

Cook 1/2 cup chopped onion in drippings till tender; add with bacon to two 1-pound cans pork and beans in tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon prepared mustard; mix well.

Bake uncovered in 1 1/2-quart casserole at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.

Serves 6.

its the worcestershire sauce that makes the great taste. and they have to be cooked till it starts to brown on the edges good recipe!!
