How to make it

  • Heat butter in large skillet.
  • Add cabbage, garlic, and 1/4 cup water.
  • Cover tightly and steam over low heat 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Blend next 4 ingredients; stir into cabbage.
  • Heat through but do not boil.
  • Sprinkle with caraway.
  • Serves 6.

    I have used this recipe for years. I started using it when my kids were little. Instead of bland looking white cabbage and corned beef. It is colorful, sweet and tasty and the kids would gulp it down with no complaints of "yucky old cabbage" Love it!
