How to make it

  • Combine thyme, paprika, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne, and cumin in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Rub brisket all over with Liquid Smoke, then rub with spice mixture.
  • Pour Worcestershire sauce and barbecue sauce into slow cooker, stir to combine.
  • Place beef brisket on top.
  • Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours, or until fork tender.
  • Note: Fresh brisket is best, but If you buy the Flat Cut Corned Beef Brisket commonly found packaged in supermarkets, just dispose of the little spice packet inside and proceed as above. It will be fine.

    Finally! A brisket recipe in the crockpot. I've cooked brisket only once. We tried grilling it and it was a piece of leather. Thanks for the recipe. It sounds great and I can't wait to try it!
