Ingredients
- 12 cups bread cubes
- 8 ounce package cream cheese, cubed
- 8 large eggs
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 6 tablespoons butter, cubed
Directions
- Butter a 3-quart baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 325 F.
- Place half the bread cubes into the buttered casserole dish.
- Top with cream cheese.
- Add the rest of the bread cubes.
- Combine the eggs, milk, butter and syrup in the food processor.
- Pulse to blend well.
- Pour egg mixture evenly over the bread cubes.
- Lightly press with a spatula to moisten all cubes.
- Cover with plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes prior to serving.
