Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup butter / margarine, softened
  • 2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 (3oz) package Jell-O gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • Smarties or M&M's

Directions
  1. Beat oil, butter/margarine, sugar, jello, eggs and vanilla together for 2 minutes.
  2. Add flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Roll into balls and place on a cookie sheet then flatten with a glass bottom that has been dipped in sugar.
  4. Push 2 or 3 Smarties or M&M's onto the top of each cookie.
  5. Bake at 350 for 6 - 8 minutes but watch carefully because the bottoms brown fast.
  6. Jell-O flavors that seem to give the best results are strawberry, cherry, orange, lemon and lime.
