How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • In large bowl, beat together butter, sugars, and shortening until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract. Dissolve coffee in 4 teaspoons water. (If you have a good, strong coffee brewed, you can substitute 4 tsps. for the instant.) Stir into butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
  • With wet hands, roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place on nonstick baking sheets. Bake for approximately 10 minutes, then press three mini-kisses into top of each cookie. Cool on cookie rack. Enjoy!
