Shreaded Brussel Sprouts With BaconFrom pleclare 8 years ago
How to make it
- Cut and discard the stem ends of brussel sprouts, pull off and discard any discolored outer leaves. Halve each sprout lengthwise, then slice halves thinly crosswise to make shreads.
- In lg. nonstick skillet over med-high heat, cook bacon till it begins to brown, about 4 mins. Add the onions and thyme and saute till onions are tender, about 4 mins.
- Add brussel sprouts and broth. Cover the pan, adjusting the heat to maintain a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 10 mins. season with salt and pepper.

Never thought of thyme as "going with" brussels sprouts. Guess it does make sense, clare. This will be our next brussels sprout dish. Last week we just had them steamed, then buttered and sprinkled with Parmesan. Thank, clare and a 5.
