How to make it

  • Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature 40 minutes until easy to handle
  • Heat oven to 400
  • Beat egg & water in small bowl
  • Unfold the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  • Roll sheet into 14 inch square
  • Stir cherries, pecans, honey & rosemary in a small bowl
  • Spread cherry mixture onto center of square
  • Top with cheese round
  • Brush edges of pastry with egg mixture
  • Fold opposite sides of pastry over cheese
  • Brush with egg mixture, press edges to seal
  • Place seam side down on baking sheet, brush with egg mixture
  • Bake 20 - 25 minutes until deep golden brown
  • Let stand for 45 minutes

    I'd never had this before, guess it is pretty popular. It is delicious. You can use cranberries, or any other dried fruit that might appeal to you and your family.
