Ingredients
  • 1/2 of a 17.3 ounce package Pastry Sheets (One Sheet)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 TBL water
  • 1/3 C dried cherries softened for one minute in hot water and drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
  • One (13.2 ounce) Brie Cheese round or two 7 ounce rounds
  • Some leave the cheese covering on, I remove it.

Directions
  1. Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature 40 minutes until easy to handle
  2. Heat oven to 400
  3. Beat egg & water in small bowl
  4. Unfold the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  5. Roll sheet into 14 inch square
  6. Stir cherries, pecans, honey & rosemary in a small bowl
  7. Spread cherry mixture onto center of square
  8. Top with cheese round
  9. Brush edges of pastry with egg mixture
  10. Fold opposite sides of pastry over cheese
  11. Brush with egg mixture, press edges to seal
  12. Place seam side down on baking sheet, brush with egg mixture
  13. Bake 20 - 25 minutes until deep golden brown
  14. Let stand for 45 minutes

I'd never had this before, guess it is pretty popular. It is delicious. You can use cranberries, or any other dried fruit that might appeal to you and your family.
