How to make it

  • Place bacon in a jelly roll pan;broil 4 " from the heat for 4-6 mins on each side or till crisp. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon;sprinkle ocer bacon. Broil 1 min. longer or till bacon is glazed and bubbly. Drain on paper towels. Cool slightly and crumbble.
  • In small skillet,combine chicken,pear nectar,pears,preserves,butter,salt and pepper. Bring to a boil;cook,stirring occasionally,for 3-4 mins or till thickened. Spoon about 1 teaspoonful of filling into each tart shell;place tarts on baking sheet.. Sprinkle with bacon and cheese.
  • Bake at 350 for 5 to 7 mins. or till heated through.

    I had to come back to tell you that I made this last night. I was a little worried about how it was going to come out with the preserves and chicken combo, but when it was done, it looked amazing, we couldn't wait to take a bite! All the flavors blended in so great! The gorgonzola melted nicely over top, and it was absolutely delicious! I actually made my own tart shell and therefore I made one big tart instead of minis. I have a picture for myself, but it wouldn't fit here, because, like I said, it was one big tart. Just wanted to thank you one more time for this truly gormet recipe!
