I usually increase the amount of cloves in this cookie to make sure it's obvious.. Servings all depends on size of cookie.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Grease OR spray cookie sheets.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Beat together the butter and sugar until smooth
- Add the egg and vanilla.
- Beat well.
- Beat in the flour, baking powder, cloves and salt.
- Beat well.
- Roll dough into a ball.
- Refrigerate 30 minutes.
- With pin, roll dough to 1/4" thickness.
- Cut dough as desired.
- Bake on prepared pans for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Cool on racks.
- Start next batch.
