Pats Incredibly Good Meatloaf Recipe
A quick and easy meatloaf with savory flavor. Pairs wonderfully with mashed potatoes and peas.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound ground turkey or lamb
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 - 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1 small bag pre-packaged dry seasoned stuffing mix, lightly crushed.
  • salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 jar prepared brown gravy

Directions
  1. Combine ground meats, egg, stuffing mix, milk, salt, pepper and spices.
  2. Mix thoroughly being careful not to overwork.
  3. Add additional milk one Tbsp. at a time if more liquid is needed. Place ground meat mixture in a glass or metal loaf pan. Do not pack.
  4. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 to 55 minutes.
  5. Let rest 5 minutes prior to cutting.
  6. Serve with warmed brown gravy.

I love this type of comfort food I think I would go with the ground lamb as my first choice rather then turkey and make my gravy from the drippings after the meatloaf was finished.

Mmm- sounds deli!


What a great sounding and simple recipe! Any time I have an extra box of stuffing mix in the pantry I'll make this one! I've never seen that used in the place of bread crumbs or other binders.
