Sweet And Sour Pork Recipe
This is a classic chinese dish that you can easily make at home. Not to mention it 's simple and delicious.

Ingredients
  • 2 cps uncooked rice
  • 1 lb pork (cut into strips)
  • 2 tbls soy sauce
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 red or green bell pepper
  • 1 (8oz) can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 1/4 cp ketchup
  • 1 tbls cornstarch
  • 1 tbls sugar
  • 1 tbls rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbls minced garlic
  • salt and peper to taste

Directions
  1. Cook rice.
  2. Mix pork with 1 tbls soy sauce.
  3. Drain pineapple juice into a 1 cp glass measuring cup.
  4. Add enough water to make 2/3 cp.
  5. Stir in remaining soy sauce, ketchup, cornstarch, vinegar and sugar.
  6. Pour 1/2 tsp oil in a pan. When oil ripples when pan is tilted add onion, bell pepper, ginger and garlic.
  7. Stir often until pepper is tender-crisp to bite. (about 2-3 mins)
  8. Pour from pan into a serving bowl.
  9. Add remaining oil and pork to pan. Stir often until pork is no longer pink in t he center (about 4-5 mins)
  10. Return vegetable mixture to pan and add pineapples. Stir the pineapple juice mixture and add to pan.
  11. Stir until sauce boils and thickens ( about 1 minute)
  12. Add salt and pepper and pour into a serving bowl. Serve with rice.
