Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt, if desired
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 1/2" wide strips
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 14 ounce can tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 tablespoon steak sauce
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce OR hot pepper sauce.
  • 1 cup green bell pepper strips
  • 1 cup red bell pepper strips
  • Broccoli, chunked, if desired
  • Mushrooms, if desired
  • Hot cooked noodles (your choice) OR rice

Directions
  1. Combine flour, salt ( if desired) and pepper in small bowl.
  2. Coat meat strips with flour mixture.
  3. Brown the meat in shortening in a large skillet.
  4. Add juice from canned tomatoes, 1 1/2 cups water, bouillon cubes and steak sauce.
  5. Stir in onion.
  6. Heat to boiling.
  7. Reduce heat to simmer, covered, 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender.
  8. Add Worcestershire sauce, tomatoes, peppers, broccoli and mushrooms.
  9. Heat until vegetables are cooked to desired doneness.
  10. Thicken gravy with a little flour, if necessary.
  11. Serve hot over hot noodles or rice.

I could go for a mouth watering plate full of dazzling hearty steak and peppers with broccoli and mushrooms my favorite vegetable with gravy and served over noodles is pure genius.
