English Toffee Recipe
Easy and very very tasty, crackers are an ingredient that most people are suprized to find.

Ingredients
  • unsalted crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • finely chopped walnuts

Directions
  1. Palce foil in a 9"x13" jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with 1" hanging over edges, foldint edges to prevent dripping.
  2. Lay crackers side by side in pan.
  3. Melt butter , pour in sugar and bring to a boil.
  4. Cook for 3 minutes stirring constantly.
  5. Spread mixture evenly over crackers.
  6. Place in a 400 preheated overn for 6 minutes.
  7. Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  8. Spread until all are melted and then sprinkle with walnuts
  9. Place in freezer for 5 min.
  10. Remove and break into pieces.

My mother made these last christmas and there are good. I was surprised to find they were made from crackers too. Good recipe. 5 forks.
