Meatballs in Mushroomland

- meatballs shopping list
- 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- chopped garlic shopping list
- any herbs you like, dried or fresh shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- some squirts of Worchestershire shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 package each medium ground beef and ground pork shopping list
- gravy shopping list
- tblsp each butter and oil shopping list
- 1/2 an onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 pack sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 2 tblsp each of flour and butter for paste shopping list
- 1 can stock (i had chicken on hand) shopping list
How to make it
- mix bread crumbs with milk in a large bowl
- add garlic, herbs, salt, pepper, Worchestershire, egg, mix well
- break in ground beef and pork and mix together, not too much tho
- make ping pong sized balls
- heat butter and oil in skillet, add onion and cook for a few minutes
- add mushrooms and cook 5-10 mins
- in a small bowl mix flour and melted butter into a thick paste
- add paste to skillet and cook for a couple minutes
- gradually add can of stock til it reaches desired thickness
- nestle in however many meatballs you want for dinner (i used 16)
- cover and simmer on low for 40-45 mins
- you can preheat the oven to 350 and bake remaining meatballs (two trays, depending on how big you made them) bake til done (maybe 20 mins) and freeze for later
