Holiday Ham

- 1/4 tsp ground cloves shopping list
- 1 clove minced garlic shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup dry red wine shopping list
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice shopping list
- 1/3 cup crushed pineapple shopping list
- bone in, pre-cooked ham shopping list
How to make it
- Whisk all marinade ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Score surface of the ham into diamond shapes about 1 inch square by 1/2 inch deep. Score both sides.
- Place the ham in a glass baking dish and pour marinade over it. Let the ham stand at room temp for an hour, turning and basting it frequently.
- Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees.
- Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Pour marinade over it. Tent the ham with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 15 minutes per pound. (cooking time was based on a 12 lb ham) Baste with marinade about every 20 minutes. Remove the foil during the last 45 minutes of cooking to brown.
- Remove to a large platter, carve and serve warm.
