Unfortunately Named Date Balls Recipe
Easy cookie, quite sweet and very addictive

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. of chopped dates
  • 1 lb. of unsalted butter
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 4 cups of rice krispies
  • 2 cups of chopped pecans
  • 4 tsp of best vanilla possible

Directions
  1. Melt butter with sugar and dates.
  2. When sugar dissolves, cook slowly for 10 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Remove from heat and add other ingredients.
  4. Cool.
  5. Roll into small balls and sprinkle with powdered sugar or (if you dare) roll in grated coconut.
  6. Keep in an airtight container or they can be frozen.

You know, I was looking for date recipes yesterday. I've been craving them for several days. Ermmm, that would be craving the dried fruit and not recipes for the social activity of 'dating'...although I suppose they could pair nicely. Heh.

I think I need more caffeine. Maybe in an IV...*hugs*
