Spiced Orange Oil Recipe

Spiced Orange Oil Recipe
Here is another infused oil that can be used in your salad dressings, marinades, sauteing, brushing on foods to be grilled, or tossed on cooked veggies. I like to use it on fish and chicken. Please join my new group *Dressings For Your Salads*

Ingredients
  • 3 wide strips orange zest
  • 1 Tbsp coriander seeds
  • 3 cups olive oil

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to the lowest setting. Put the orange zest on a baking sheet and put in the oven for about 1 1/4 hours to dry out; add the coriander seeds to the baking sheet for the last 30 minutes or so, until fragrant.
  2. Lightly crush the coriander seeds using a mortar and pestle or a small blender and put into a jar or bottle with the zest; cut if necessary to fit through the neck of the jar or bottle. Pour in the oil, seal tightly, and shake to mix. Leave for about 2 weeks, shaking the bottle occasionally. Store in a cool, dark, dry place and use within 6 months.

This sounds great I have made several infused oils before however never orange. That coriander has a citrus quality to it and should go rather well.
What about some orange blossoms as a floral note?

Five forks and a smile :)
