How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt and brown sugar. Pour in beer; stir until a stiff batter is formed. Add cheese, olive oil, herbs, and diced garlic. Scrape dough into buttered and floured loaf pan.
  • Pour garlic butter on top of unbaked dough
  • Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.

    Pot roast is cooking so I'm going to make this bread to go with it. Hubby eats at 2 pm, don't ask, okay he eats at 2 pm so it doesn't interfere with his 5 p.m. "Happy Hour" @ the club. He eats left overs when he returns ;0
