Chocolate Sheet Cake

This recipe was given to me by my sweet mother in-law Velma. It's sooo good. I love chocolate!! Be prepared for a truely chcolate experience!!!!
Ingredients
- Cake: shopping list
- 2 c. each of : shopping list
- sugar shopping list
- flour shopping list
- 2 sticks butter softened shopping list
- 4 tbl. cocoa shopping list
- 1 c. water shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 eggs beaten shopping list
- 1/2 c. buttermilk shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda (add to buttermilk) shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- Icing: shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 4 tbl. cocoa shopping list
- 6 tbl. milk shopping list
- 1 box powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 c. chopped pecans shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 400'
- grease and flour 9x13 pan
- mix flour and sugar in a bowl
- In a pan bring butter, cocoa and water to a boil
- pou over flour and sugar and stir
- add eggs, buttermilk, cinnamon, vanilla and salt
- mix together til smooth
- Bake in a 9x13 pan at 400'
- 20-30 minutes til pick comes out clean
- while cake is baking:
- mix in a pan, butter, cocoa, milk
- bring to a boil
- turn heat very low and add;
- powdered sugar ,vanilla
- stir til smooth.
- When cake is done poke holes in top randomly with a pick
- whie cake is hot ; pour frosting over cake .
- Don't worry ...the cake will soak up the chocolate.
- Then sprinkle with pecans..
- Enjoy after cake cools .
