Zippy Zesty Grilled Potatoes Recipe
These potatoes are a great side with almost any meal. And so easy. Even in the winter, throw this on the grill and check them once. Soooo easy and sooo good!

Ingredients
  • 4-5 lbs red skinned potatoes
  • med onion (I have used white, red, and yellow - all good)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (or your fave color)
  • SAUCE:
  • 1/4 c olive oil
  • 3 T melted butter
  • 2 t worcestershire
  • juice and zest from a lemon
  • Several shakes garlic powder
  • 1 t basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • pinch or two kosher salt
  • fresh ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Scrub potatoes, cut into large chunks into bowl of ice cold water
  2. Chop onion and pepper
  3. Make sauce (all ingredients except salt and pepper)
  4. Tear off extra large sheet of aluminum foil, place on counter, shiny side up.
  5. Drain water from potatoes
  6. Mix potatoes, onions, and peppers with sauce in large bowl until well coated
  7. Pour into single layer on foil
  8. Spinkle with a couple pinches kosher salt, and several grinds of fresh black pepper
  9. Bring sides up to make packet
  10. Grill on high, 20 minutes
  11. Turn down to medium, grill 45 minutes more
  12. Turn over halfway through cooking time

I make potatoes like this all the time, they're wonderful! I really like the sound of the lemon juice/zest and the bay leaf. To cut down time, I usually microwave the potatoes for a few minutes, and heavy duty foil makes it so easy for flipping them on the grill. I'm definitely going to try out your sauce! Thanks for sharing :) ^5
