  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. whipping cream
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 t. pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 6 c. dry stale bread, cubed
  • 3 c. brownies, cubed
  • whipped cream, optional
  • chocolate syrup, optional

Directions
  1. Spread brownie cubes evenly on a baking sheet and place in oven.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. (If your bread isn't stale, spread them on another baking sheet and place in oven.)
  4. In a large bowl, combine eggs, whipping cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  5. In a 13x9 pan, spread half of the bread cubes in the pan.
  6. After the oven has preheated, take out the brownies and spread over bread cubes in pan.
  7. Spread remaining bread cubes over brownies.
  8. Pour custard mixture evenly over bread and brownies, and slightly press down with a spoon or spatula, ensuring even the top pieces are moist.
  9. I like to soak my bread pudding for at least 20 minutes (hence the 30 minute prep time), but if you're short on time, even 5 minutes would help.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.
  11. Serve hot with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, if desired.

Oh my goodness, this one is definitely over-the-top sweeet, ooey-gooey and decadent! What a different combination for bread pudding, and one I'm sure Paula Deen would fall in love with as well!! I'm looking forward to trying this when I have LOTS of people here to eat this (or I'd eat the whole thing myself...) - thank you for sharing your creation (and the picture is phenomenal!)...Krum

Made this yesterday and it's fantastic. One of those "now why didn't I think of this?" types of recipes. We ate it warm out of the oven with a little more of the heavy cream poured over top. Reheats nicely in the microwave, too. Thanks!
