These tasty cookies are fun to make with kids.

Ingredients
  • 1 C granulated sugar
  • 1 C butter, softened
  • 1 C flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 C oatmeal

Directions
  1. Combine ingredients in large bowl
  2. Mix with electric mixer til crumbly
  3. Blend crumbly mixture by hand
  4. Make small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet
  5. Dip the bottom of a drinking glass in sugar and use to flatten cookies
  6. Bake at 350 10 - 12 minutes

During the holidays, use red or green sugar to flatten cookie. Might be easier to dip glass in water, then sugar.
