Kosher Corned Beef

- corned beef shopping list
- water shopping list
- 1 medium onion, halved shopping list
- 2 large bay leaves shopping list
- 2 whole cloves shopping list
- 1 tablespoon pickling spices shopping list
- 1 garlic bud (clove) shopping list
How to make it
- Put corned beef in a large pan and cover with cold water.
- Boil slowly for 1 hour.
- Add onion, bay leaves, cloves, pickling spices and garlic.
- Simmer for 2 hours (do not boil).
- Take off heat and let stand in own juice to cool.
- Completely cool.
- Drain.
- Refrigerate.
- Slice on bias, very thin for sandwiches.
