Fresh Apple Cake

A neighbor in Texas gave me this wonderful recipe more than 30 years ago and it is still a family favorite.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C oil shopping list
- 2 C sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 3 C flour shopping list
- 1 C nuts, chopped shopping list
- 1 1/2 t baking soda shopping list
- 1 t salt shopping list
- 3 C apples, pared and chopped shopping list
- 1 C coconut shopping list
- Topping shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 1 C brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 C milk shopping list
How to make it
- Place cake ingredients in large mixing bowl
- Beat til all blended well
- Pour into greased and floured bundt pan
- Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes
- Topping
- Place ingredients in sauce pan
- Boil for 2 1/2 minutes
- Pour over hot cake
- Leave cake in pan til cool
- Invert on serving plate
