Here is a super fast, super simple hearty soup recipe the way my mom used to make it... It's delicious and have your daily need of fiber, proteins, vitamin B1, minerals, dietary fiber, & Folate. it just can't get any better...

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Dry Lentile beans
  • 3 Cups hot water
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tbs salt
  • 1 tbs pepper
  • 1 tbs ground cummins

Directions
  1. Wash lentile beans with cold water and set aside
  2. Add cooking oil to a pan and saute chopped onion untill golden brown
  3. Add lentile beans to the sauteed onions and mix well, sprinkle with salt, peppers, and cummins.
  4. add hot water to the mix and cover on low heat for 30 minutes.
  5. when the soup is done add lemon juice and mix.
  6. Serve with fried or baked pita bread pieces.
