Caramel Pound Cake Recipe
Another tried and true recipe that came from a co-worker a few years back. This cake is incredibly moist and good for breakfast or dessert. I like it heated with a little ice cream on the side. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 sticks butter softened
  • 2 sticks margarine softened
  • 16 ounce box light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 then grease and flour tube pan.
  2. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder then set aside.
  3. Cream butter and margarine then add sugars and cream until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time then add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
  5. Add vanilla and beat until thoroughly combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake at 325 for 1-1/2 hours.
