Strawberry Skillet Cake

A recipe for the iron skillets. Recipe doesn't give servings. Cook time 35 to 40 minutes or until golden-brown and cake begins to pull away from sides of skillet.
Ingredients
- cake shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 2 Tbsp.sugar shopping list
- 2 pkgs. (7 oz. each) Martha White Strawberry Muffin Mix shopping list
- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- shopping list
- Topping shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup Martha White all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cut into pieces shopping list
- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ shopping list
- Strawberry glaze shopping list
- Smucker's strawberry preserves shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease 10-inch cast iron skillet.
- In large bowl, combine sour cream, milk and sugar; mix well.
- Add muffin mix; stir to blend.
- Spread batter in greased skillet.
- In small bowl, stir toghether flour and sugar.
- With pastry blender of fork, cut in butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle over batter.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden-brown and cake begins to pull away from sides of skillet.
- Let cool 15 minutes.
- Cut into wedges, place on serving plate and top with Smucker's Strawberry Preserves (optional).
