Ingredients

How to make it

  • Beat together the buttermilk, eggs, and baking soda.
  • Beat in the cornmeal, sugar, salt, melted butter and vanilla
  • Pour into a butter baking pan or 2 buttered 9-inch pie pans.
  • Bake at 450 for about 20 minutes
  • Cut and serve piping hot with butter!

    I think I would love this as I don't care for flour or sugar in cornbread. Curious to try the drop of vanilla too! I also like yellow cornmeal for cornbread so sounds like it is right up my alley!!
