Ingredients

How to make it

  • cook pasta shells, rinse and drain
  • brown beef, add onion and cook until soft
  • add garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms, salt and pepper. simmer 20 minutes.
  • in a 3 qt. casserole, put enough sauce to cover bottom
  • add layer of 2 cups pasta, then 1/2 remaining sauce, 1/2 sour cream and 1/4 cup provolone
  • repeat layers
  • sprinkle with mozzarella, cover and bake for 40 mins.
  • remove cover and continue baking until mozzarella melts.
  • remove from oven, sprinkle with parmesan and let stand for 10 mins.
