Old Faithful Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients

Nonstick cooking spray for the pan

2 tbs vegetable oil

1 1/2 cups minced onion

3/4 cup minced green pepper

2 pounds ground round

1 cup uncooked rolled oats

2 large eggs

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

2 1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. pepper

3/4 cup ketchup

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Coat loaf pan with cooking spray and set aside.

Warm the oil in a small pan over med. heat.

Add the onions and green peppers and saute' until soft, 8 to 10 minutes.

Place saute' onions and green peppers in a large bowl ,add the ground round, oats, eggs, tomato sauce, salt and pepper and mix well.

Press the mixture into the loaf pan.

Bake for 1 hour.

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and pour ketchup on top.

Return to the oven and cook for another 15 minutes.
