NO BAKE COCOA RUM BALLS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ritchie Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1984.

Ingredients

1 cup vanilla wafers crushed fine shopping list
1 cup powdered sugar shopping list
1 cup chopped pecans shopping list
2 tablespoons cocoa shopping list
2 tablespoons light corn syrup shopping list
1/4 cup rum shopping list
Granulated sugar shopping list

How to make it

Stir together crumbs, confectioners sugar, pecans and cocoa then ad corn syrup and rum.
Mix well and with wet hands shape into 1” balls then roll in granulated sugar.

I remember these from when I was a kid. My mother made them for Christmas-and it was quite scandalous for a six year old like me to have a cookie with rum in it! Yes, these are pretty good. My mother used to put them in a cookie can, and the longer they sat, the more pronounced the rum taste was. MMMMMMM. Thanks for the share.
