- 3 Cups milk shopping list
- 1 Cup semolina shopping list
- 2 Fresh eggs,beaten very well shopping list
- 1 Tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- Pinch of pepper shopping list
- 1/4 Cup butter shopping list
- 1 Cup parmesan cheese,grated shopping list
How to make it
- Scald milk in saucepan.
- Reduce heat and slowly sprinkle the semolina into the hot milk,stir all the time.
- Cook,stir constantly,until very thick,about 8 minutes.(Your spoon should stand upright in mixture)
- Stir in eggs,1 tablespoon butter,salt,pepper,beat until smooth.
- Spread mixture into a greased pan,13"x9" will do quite nicely.
- Cool,cover and refrigerate for about 4 hours.
- Cut semolina mixture with a circle cookie cutter(about 1-1/2")dipped in water to keep from sticking.
- Place the little cakes,overlapping,in a ungreased dish.
- Dot with 1/4 Cup Butter,sprinkle with the Parmesan Cheese.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven until crisp and brown,about 35 minutes.
