How to make it

  • Roll out the pastry until very thin,cut into circles large enough to fit into 12~(2Tablespoon Capacity) tartlet pans.
  • Line the pans with pastry,prick the pastry with a fork.
  • Place the pastry lined tartlet pan onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake in a 400 degree oven until golden brown,about 12 minutes.
  • Cool completely,in the pans.
  • Meanwhile:
  • In saucepan ,stir the cornstarch,into the water until there is no lumps.
  • Add the brown sugar,and bring to a rolling boil,stir all the while.
  • Lower the heat and simmer mixture for about 5 minutes,stirring.
  • Remove from the burner,and stir in the butter and vanilla until well blended,stir in the Brazil Nuts.
  • Cool this mixture a bit,then fill the tartllets and chill until set.
  • Being very careful,remove the tartlets from the pans before serving.
