Chop Suey

- 1 pound leftover pork from roast or ribs shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 2 cups chopped onions shopping list
- 2 cups chopped celery shopping list
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced shopping list
- 1 can chop suey vegetables shopping list
- 4 ounces mushrooms shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoons Karo syrup (Light or dark) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Cube meat and brown in butter. Add onions and celery and cook until
- crisp tender. Add the mushrooms and vegetables with the juices, water chestnuts, salt and pepper.
- Add remaining ingredients except for cornstarch. Bring to a boil and add cornstarch mixture and simmer 10 minutes. Serve over rice
