Snicker Cake and Ice Cream Fantasy

- Homemade vanilla IceCream: shopping list
- 2 c. heavy cream (1 pint) shopping list
- 2 c. light cream = half-n-half (1 pint) shopping list
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 t. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 t. salt shopping list
- Squeak1980 Snicker cake posted with her permission: shopping list
- 1 German chocolate cake mix shopping list
- 1 pkg caramels shopping list
- 1 stick oleo shopping list
- 1/3c milk shopping list
- 3/4c. chocolate chips shopping list
- 1c. chopped nuts shopping list
- and 1 jar of caramel ice cream topping shopping list
How to make it
- Directions for Ice Cream:
- Pour cream directly into ice cream machine center bucket. Add sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Process ice cream according to machine instructions.
- After Ice Cream is done, put in freezer for at least 2 hours before trying to combine.
- Directions for Squeak1980 Snicker cake:
- Mix cake mix according to instructions on cake box.
- Pour half of the batter in a 9x13-inch pan
- Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Melt caramels with oleo and milk.
- Pour over the baked cake mix.
- Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
- Dot remaining cake batter on top.
- Bake 20 minutes longer at 250 degrees and 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Remove from oven and cool. Needs no icing
- After ice cream is at least slightly frozen, place two scoops in a bowl. Take a piece of the snicker cake and cut it into medium size cubes, about two inch in diameter - nothing precise. Add it to the ice cream.
- Now take the caramel topping and drizzle some over the top of everything.
- Take two spoons and slowly mix all three things together. Do not overmix because you want chunks of cake in the ice cream. Enjoy!!!!
