Spicy Bacon Spaghetti Toss

- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) spaghetti shopping list
- 4 thick slices bacon, chopped shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried chili peppers, crushed shopping list
- 12 (28 oz.) can Italian tomatoes with juice shopping list
- parmesan cheese, grated shopping list
How to make it
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat; just until fat is rendered (about 3 minutes).
- Add onion and saute until limp, about 7 minutes; drain fat.
- Stir in pepper flakes, add tomatoes to the bacon mixture (break tomatoes up with spoon).
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Portion pasta into warm bowls and spoon tomato sauce on top.
- Sprinkle with cheese.

I do have a question . . .You meant to say 1(280oz)can Italian tomatoes with liquid - not 12, right? . . .and another comment, . . when I make it, I will try 2(14-oz) cans of pettite diced tomatoes with Italian seasonings instead of the whole ones....more
