Oreo Cupcakes

If you love oreos you will love the frosting on these delicious chocolate cupcakes!
Ingredients
- 2 1/3 cups flour shopping list
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 12 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature shopping list
- 2 cups light brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk shopping list
- frosting shopping list
- 1 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp whipping cream shopping list
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 6 tbsp crushed oreos shopping list
- 12 Oreos Halfed shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- In bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt
- In electric mixer cream butter until smooth
- Add in brown sugar and mix until fluffy
- Add in vanilla and eggs, mixing after each addition
- Slowly add in flour mixture in 3 parts, alternating with addition of buttermilk
- Pour batter into 24 muffin tins
- Bake 18-20 minutes
- In electric mixture, mix whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff
- Once desired consistency, fold in oreo crumbs
- Once cupcakes have cool, pipe frosting on top of each cupcake
- Break the whole oreos in half and top each cupcake with half of an oreo
