How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Peel the parsnips and cut off the stem ends and tips.
  • Place in a plastic bag; do not tie off the open end.
  • Microwave on high for 3 minutes, or until the parsnips are flexible.
  • Line a pieplate ;--) with aluminum foil and place the butter in it; set in the oven for a minute to melt the butter.
  • Add the parsnips and toss gently so that they are buttered.
  • Roast in the middle of the oven for 20-25 m, or until the ends are brown and some surfaces are golden brown. If you like them somewhat caramelized, roast them a bit longer. Even if the ends look scorched, they taste fine (like a roasted marshmallow?).
